Infantry Alter Art Feldmutze

Hello all,

Firstly I'd like to thank those who replied to my original topic about this cap (in the authentication forum) and for the great advice given.

This is my first post in this section of the forum with my first piece of cloth headgear!

I'd like to show you this Alter Art Feldmutze piped for infantry. It is a non-textbook example and an interesting variation from the 'norm' but IMO is completely original despite some of its 'non-standard' features. If anyone has seen anything similair, or knows of other non-textbook examples of these caps, please let me know as I would be very interested to have a look.

I will let my new photos do the talking, please let me know what you think of it, I hope you all like it! If anyone would like to see more photos of lining etc, I will try my best to accommodate.

Nice photos, you got that thing called sunshine in your world ? Our weather is pants at the moment....anyway Ii like what I see.

I see the peak has the trim on the end rather than the raw edge but i think that makes it look a lot neater. If you want textbook then there ain't no such thing, it has some nice features this cap. Glad you got it in the end.

Nice piece and certainly got the crushed look.

Hi and thanks for your comment!

I can see a huge amount of dust/grime between the peak and the body of the cap. I think it has been wiped clean, giving it newer/cleaner look to the rest of the cap. Does this make sense?

In hand, I'm very comfortable with the cap and given that Kurt held this in hands makes me sleep better at night also!

There are tons of variations on the Alte Art visor, this is a new one for me and I quite like it. I have been fortunate to have handled and inspected many variations of "Crusher" caps in a well know collection and have a few myself ,including a silk top Panzer.
When they are right you just feel it! Great score, but now I'm pissed at Daniel for not offering it to me.
