Kreigsmarine Hat Tallies
Hey gang!
I purchased this lot from a collector friend of mine. From my research I think I got a great deal on it. The question is As you see there are 3 tallies for the "Linienschiff Schleswig Holstein". From my research I see that this outdated battleship fired the very first shot of WWII when it shelled a Polish naval base. My question is what kind of value does a provenance such as this add to this lot of 3? This is my first adventure into KM tallies so any comments on these pieces would be appreciated.

Re: Kreigsmarine Hat Tallies
Your three Schleswig=Holstein ribbons make a nice set representing as they do, all three "eras", Kaiserliche Marine, Reichsmarine and Kriegsmarine through which she served.
She did indeed fire the opening shots of WW2 but thereafter did very little else in terms of operational use, serving mostly as a training ship.
Sadly, ribbons for the Schleswig=Holstein and the other obsolete WW1 period ships don't attract high prices , averaging around 40-50 Euro from dealers and can often be found for less on EBay.
