Thank you. Marvelous pieces in fine condition and of particular quality. Many warm thanks. FB
Mr. Mint will be particularly excited.
You have to deepen yourself in the world of the woman who made the Hoheitszeichen and the Muetzenkranz und Kokarde on the officer's cap, really. What a different sense of time and quality from our own hectic and shabby world. Such embroidery has the same effect on me as do Persian carpets, with their grace, texture, and above, craft of a now unknown type...or at least that I never encounter in the twittering, facebooking present.
Thanks again, and do tell your friend how grateful we are for his willingness to share here.

F-B, excited is an understatement! Very rare to find a Landzoll officer in bullion with the doeskin wool body. Can your friend make out the maker name? The town appears to be Wuerzburg.
Also, a very rare HPC NCO visor--I had never seen one made by them until now.
Richie, thanks to you and your friend for sharing. Hopefully he will feel comfortable enough to post more here in the future.
“Show me the regulation, and I’ll show you the exception.”
Upon further review, it appears to be Ludwig Fuchs of Wurzburg?
“Show me the regulation, and I’ll show you the exception.”
My only example.
Phenomenal, Kirby (& those Zoll brocades are very rare!)....
