Jay, yeah a little different, maybe a little different time period, but his still looks to be an NSFK eagle. Just a guess from the photo he posted.

It is an NSFK cap device. Attached is a photo of the one from my personal NSFK collection.
    Thats very clear thank you!

I found a site that is someone collection but it had no detailed pics.

I think mine is right from the construction of it particularly the pins or where they were?

The cost also made me think it was ok (the pair 12) so I took a risk getting into 2 and half beer price area.

    Courtesy the Shea site.

I had one of these caps and sold it....

NSFK regalia is rare and also interesting in its own right.

Thus, buy this cap and give it a fine home.

The photo of the eagle displayed on the cap has the same down turned beak style as Ein's. Or I should clarify and say a more noticable down turned beak similar to Ein's.

Let us recall that there was more than one vendor or contractor of these pieces of regalia.

That is so very true. There were so many manufacturers fabricating hundereds of different medals, awards, uniforms, hats, boots, etc., in so many different regions of the Reich, I'm astounded by the uniformity they were able to maintain. All without the assistance of computers.

Hi Jock, I am glad you have got an ID on the eagle. One thing is sure, it is original.

As "FB" has pointed out, these things were made by more than one maker, so small detail difference will occur.

    Cheers, Ade.
