    Default Luftwaffe Einheitsfliegermütze

Hi Guys, this was my very first German cap which I bought 30 years now with my first weeks wages from work. It cost me £10 back then

Insignia is the separate two peice type, with embroidered Luftwaffe eagle and "Bevo" woven cockade. The body of the cap is made from re-worked shoddy wool, which is typical of late war issue items. Close inspection reveals many different coloured fibres in the mixture including the odd red one. The lining is blue/grey rayon. Note how this wears.

The inked markings are washed out and very faded, but they comprise of a size (58), date and RB number.

    Cheers, Ade.

Some detailed pics showing the construction methods used in making the cap.

If you intend buying a cap of this type, make note of some of these features.

    Cheers, Ade.

    Hi Adrian,
I've bought an m43 feldmütze of Luftwaffe recently, and I've a question. Which is the difference between the eagle of luftwaffe's jacket and the m43 cap eagle?
I ask it to you because I've seen two different luftwaffe eagles for sale and I don't know the size of the m43 eagle.

    Thanks.

A jacket breast eagle will be 95mm across: a cap eagle will be 75mm.

    Cheers, Ade.
