Luftwaffe Visor Cap - Opinions please

Dear Friends,

I'll be glad to have some opinions about this originality and it's purchase value. The insignias are poor plastic reproductions and the visor cap has a rasonable apparency to me, but I don't know very well the german's visor caps details.

One look original cap. Condition looks reasonable, couple of moth nips around the piping? A replacement set of insignia will be fairly easy to find and not expensive. I'd say around $350 for the cap would be about right.

Can you tell me why you think the insignia is plastic? I don't know of anyone making plastic repro insignia...

I examinated it and conclude that it's silver gray plastic made with a painted cocar.

Please, is the G. A. Hoffman manufacturer well know?

I don't know the visor caps manufacturers.

Now it's with the seller, but next week i'll bring it for close examinations and take more photos of the insignia.

Beautiful condition even if they may be fake insignias. I agree about $350 is about right.

I call the seller and he bringed few minutes ago the cap to me. I removed the eagle for examinations and I'm surprised, I don't know what kind of material is that.

It seems to me a very light white metal alloy close similar to the plastic in apparency.
