LW Mechanics Cap Unit Marked

Article about: Hello What are your thoughts on this cap? It is well marked. It has a unit marking ( I have no idea about the unit) Thank you very much for your time Tony

    You posted a 1941 stamp of SPRENGPFEIL, the stamp from the cap that started the thread is a 1937 made item issued then in 1938.

    But when did 'SPRENGPFEIL' change the style of their stamp? As I said in my original post, I am no expert on these caps - which is probably rather obvious by now anyway... but I saw the different style of logo as a possible indication of something not quite right. I have seen a similar stamp which is dated 1940, so what year did the logo change?

    Not sure how many styles were used on these caps, but the white stamps are consistent with the type used on the black work caps
    across the board, I have one by Carl Halfar marked to a Flak Battery, similar stamps in this also.
