hi jim can you just explain what this little resto has done to the stahlhelm ,have you relined the shell and cleaned up the paintwork a little ,the decal remains look more prominant,thanks james

I bought this Finnish army issued m40 from fleamarket,it was in the same pile with M55 helmets. i remowed green paint gently with cotton balls and nail polish remover. looks like decal has been removed with a knife or similar before postwar re-paint. too bad that it has drilled two extra holes for finnish inliner but I got them well hidden with small pieces of metal and glue.. a little paint and aging
