Muetzenfabrik

Article about: F.B. Reichenbach is about 10 km (6 miles) away from me. If you want, I'll make a photo of the building. If it is still standing.

    Hello Erel,

this is extremely interesting - Wilhelm Prediger is the author of a book about cap making that was apparently never published (the proof was sold on ebay some time ago) and of an article in the appendix of the Hempe book (a later edition) he presents a special method of making templates for visor caps.

May I ask where the article above was published? Are there any other Prediger articles available? I would be particularly interested in articles about visor cap making - in order to compare his methods to Hempe's.

Thanks in andvance for your answer,
    ErWeSa

    Hello Erel,

again, these are extremely interesting! Thanks a lot! Prediger elaborates on the often neglected but very important finishing step of ironing the caps "in shape". Tanks again!
