My Tropenhelm

It has finally arrived.
I love it.
I always wanted one of these and now that i have one its not enough, i want a 1st pattern too.

No Nuno, it's either an early example or has been rebadged with early shields, made from brass, IMO.

Heer shields have a raised border around the edge, whilst KM do not.

Here are brass, Aluminium and Zinc Heer shields and an aluminium KM example. Brass and aluminium are usually thought to be early and zinc later, but that might not be completely correct, as by 1940 1941 all types are being issued.

When I compared mine with other helmets I have, I'm surprised how big this troppenhelm are.
