Finally i received the cap i bought before Christmas The cap itself have collapsed a little as you can see. Any advice on how to get it back into shape will be much appreciated For now it' stuffed with news papers

Morning Lars nice example of a not often seen Austrian SA bergmutze I really like the Edelweiss on these.
As to stiffening the cap the only thing I can suggest is cutting some very thin plastic and inserting it around the inside of the cap I have done this with a couple of mine for the purpose of display.
I used acid free plastic that I purchased from a comic book /collectibles store.

A stunning cap, is this the one from the collectors guild I had my eye on it, but with no money to spare
