Officer's Schirmütze From Luftwaffe Transport Gruppe Speer

A visor cap that belonged to an officer of Transport Gruppe Speer. The cap still retains it size tag and was purchased, but likely never worn. The lining indicates the cap came from the standard clothing source of the Luftwaffe. I have seen several of these caps over the years and this is the first one encountered with metal insignia. Either the metal insignia were purchased due to budget or lack of hand embroidered insignia at the store of procurement.

A wonderful piece. This man was a Transport Gruppe Speer staff person attached to some echelon of the Luftwaffe, was he not? I think Ce Ha is Christian Haug or another of the Berlin cap makers. A very fine piece from the leading collection.

"Ce-Ha Prima" is Carl Halfar/Berlin.
Great cap!

My Grandfather served at Transportgruppe Speer, so I am always curious about those uniforms. Thanks for showing, Bob
