original german helmets/hats/etc

hello all,

just wanted to post some pictures of some real german items for auction/sale just recently. my friend in colorado went to this sale. this is the only picture he sent me but are are original as they were in the a Veterans Museum in Colo. he also said they was more items. WOW

yes - 2 items so far - a luftwaffe M43" LUFTWAFFE" Wool Field Cap shown in the picture (piece left of gas mask) and the navy pith helmet(right of the SS helmet)

Hi Mike, that is a very nice pith, but I would like to say that its a 1st pattern Heer pith, with green leather trim and chin strap. The eagle on the front is a KM example and might have been added at any time. It is probably period applied, but it would be hard to be certain and I have never seen one with heer shields and a km eagle, though there are many things I've never seen.
A very nice pith either way and thanks for showing it.
