Good idea to post before you buy. I'd say it's some West German or modern beret, that has been made to look WWII. It's usually not a bad thing, but sometimes people try to sell them as originals. Gotta watch out. Do you have any items in your collection at this moment?

I have a suggestion bowlin, and i do not mean to be rude. Before posting, try and research the item in the data base here on forum. Make a comparison and when you have come up with your own conclusion, good or bad item, then post. This one would not be too difficult to spot. I do not mean it in a bad way. When one have looked at a lot of good items, it gets easier to spot the fakes and you will with time be able to help other collectors.

I totally agree, but i could not find alot of original examples to compare this one to, i mainly collect helmets.
