Not totally sure on this one, but from your pictures first impressions are not good. Just something about it, piping, chin cord, eagle and the inside of the cap. Lets wait to see what the others think.

Don't like the fabric too and the way the top waffenfarbe stands on the cap...
But I am no specialist.

Agreeing with the others who have posted - not looking good. In particular the shape, lining, the sweat band (which is floppy - should be tight) and especially the Adler. The Adler looks to be a very poor copy with hardly any detail. I expect something much crisper in detail. NH

Hello Jürgen,
I feel the same uncertainty as the previous participants - some features make it a late war example (rayon cap cords, fabric, lack of sweat shield etc.) others not. There is a nice detail on the back of the peak if you look closely (won't say what, don't want to support fakers). Perhaps it's just wishful thinking together with X-Mas nostalgia, but I'd give it a chance. I'm really looking forward to the experts' opinion.

You want to measure it to see whether it is really 58cms. It might be real. I cannot tell from the images. It is, as Wolfgang says, not untypical of caps made in wartime.
