Paul Kaps SS General's Schirmmeutze - potentially!

Article about: By the way, this book I found in Vienna about nearby Iglau is based on a cache of photos of the K.H. Frank personage, and it is an extremely interesting and impressive chronicle of this Mora

I had not looked at this issue this way, but maybe the person was right.

Pay no attention to my rambling above, Andi - it was totally uncalled for. I simply had a quite unsympathetic and nasty moment there (brought on by external factors not revelant to our hobby in this case)

I am usually a very nice guy

I know the feeling very well. When it seizes me, and when I then look at the ding dong maroon website, the inclination to punish one of the many bad postings somewhere, especially with "prongs" and the holy grail of Deschler und Soehne with the specially crimped "5" is often too much for me to resist. It is a triumph of the will that I do not then parcel out some harsh treatment in a post, or post pictures of garden dwarfs, which irritate Ben VK so much.

Here are some SS generals, none of whom ended up very well and whose temporary glory poses salient questions about the human condition. Maybe the true spirit of these persons was best captured by Eigruber, there in his wretched quarry, as horrible a place as one can find in this sad and tormented world.

I shall truly do my very best to achieve such saintly patience - for it is certainly a triumph of the will and a blessed virtue.

Well, I am eagerly awaiting any development regarding the original theme of this thread - the potential Paul Kaps cap. It is not for me I think to facilitate any such progress. I'll just watch and learn

Do keep posting as the spirit moves you. Often these "off the topic" posts have more merit than the cap dissection money shots and foetid woolen pornography which turns in very narrow circles, emblazoned with baby talk, and anti historical clap trap.

When a collector posts this kind of remark as seen below Kenneth, there really is little point trying to move forward and discuss it any further. It's just not worth the effort.

Quite true indeed, Ben. I know it must be more frustrating for you than for me, seeing as this is a potential Paul Kaps example and that one single effort to take a photo where the unique "Paul Kaps stiffening spring" should be would be an important indicator of this cap's true nature. Very interesting feature this "extra spring" by the way!

It is very frustrating but I'll post these extra photos just so that we can finish this thread at least to some degree.

I'm not sure which cap is which here but never the less, the details within the interior of the hats are not as they should be. Let's leave it at that.

I agree with Ben--we were getting nowhere with the owner of these Kaps. Some serious issues with them most of the hats he has been posting.

It does pain me that some @#&*! ruined perfectly good (and very rare) Kaps visors.
