Nothing super special for me this year but both are quite nice for different reasons.

This is my one and only TR era cap purchase for 2017, a Luftwaffe enlisted cap named to a FJ regiment,

Nice. Looks unissued! Have you researched the regiment?

Forgot that I could also include Imperial caps! An officer's visor, with the crimson piping & band for either of the two Bavarian lancer regiments, or chevaux leger regiments 1 or 2.

    Hi,

    Lovely caps, thanks for posting.

I had to wait till October for my first cap purchase............been a bit of a drought for me but then another came along just this week so that helped end the year on a positive.

Both Reichswehr caps.....first is an unissued 1919 pattern field cap, unit marked for Artillery regiment 7 (Bavarian)/ I battalion/ 2nd Battery with a nice "I" for accepted into stores ! M31 for Munich depot 1931 manufacture. Not on display as it is still folded as stored..........mint condition just missing the cockade. A real "flat cap" !

Yes, the cap may well be unworn. I know that FJ Regt.1 saw a tremendous amount of action; there is much info on the web, and in print.
I have quite a few books on the FJ.
