I've picked up a few very nice caps this year but this one is by far the best, a 1940 dated tropical cap by Carl Halfar for a pioneer. The cap was originally olive but has faded to a highly sought after tan shade.
I think the only way that I could top this would be by finding a similar PzGren.

    Have an enjoyable Christmas.

I picked up a rare RMBO official's private purchase Schellenburg visor cap. It was found by the deceased veteran's daughter under his uniform in storage.Click image for larger version.

For cloth headgear I didn't purchase anything fancy for 2012, but I did manage to get my hands on this minty SS muslim fez.
