My associate has requested me to show his cap display:
As the dad on "Everyone Loves Raymond" would say, "Holy Cr*p!"

I am bested, but gladly so. Each one of your associate's hats needs a thread of it's own.....

The great advantage of being British is that it allows one to understate one's amazement.

Consequently in response to the above two posts: those collections are "quite good."

    seriously though, thanks for sharing.

    cheers

Well, I saw a bunch of flight helmets, so I thought I'd better post. Here are photos of what I have left. This is just my USN/USMC WWII flying helmets. I had WWI, WWII, all the way up to space and high altitude, partial pressure, etc. I loved the WWI crash helmets, they were huge! I also had a WWII Japanese jet helmet which was fully enclosed. It is pictured in Mick Prodger's "Vintage Flying Helmets Before The Jet Age," Japanese section. I have kept this group intact for the most part, and have tried several museums, but they said the carrier Midway was too small for it....go figure.

Very old thread, but I think it deserves a boost!

I put together this display last time I was home in Spain, I will have to make room for at least one more cap when I'm back. It's not as impressive as others in this thread, but I hope it's still pleasant to look at

Hopefully we can get this thread rolling for a while again!

Terrific display--you are light-years ahead of where I was when I was your age.....

Very nice. Love the cabinet. Nicer (bigger) than the IKEA ones.
"Please", Thank You" and proper manners appreciated

Great collection Douglas . I'm curious what the Luftwaffe Fliegermütze with the red piping represents. I assume Flak but It's not usually seen on these sidecaps.

    Regards, Al
