Nothing exotic or particually rare, but it was the first one I ever bought and so holds a special place in my collection.

    Cheers, Ade.

Hello Everyone in the Third Reich Section!

Whilst not necessarily German, this beauty was made by Lubstein:

Marvelous. Bravo. Illustrates the history of the 20th century, does it not?

I have two favourites - if that is OK...

    This also, made by Lubstein:

    Respected Associate,

Certainly... It illustrates how the perceived gentry becomes the peasant with a change of lordship...

Yes, indeed, dear colleague, and many thanks for making this salient point.Post your favorite cap!
The matter has lost none of its poignancy in the 21st century.

Yet today, the locale looks like this... with these healthy, young women.Post your favorite cap!

The human spirit in a great city cannot be held down. Rather than "Stirndrueckfrei" though, these people have bicycle paths and a killer right of way if you knock one over in your E Class 320 CDI, that I can tell you....

I did get a parking ticket in Bonn on this last trip, though.

No totalitarian pressure on the forehead at all, it seems. Uniforms are passe.

POSTSCRIPTUM one hardly need add that the Lubstein locale--once the firma enriched itself likely as a result of aryanization--was in the shadow of the present day television tower on the Alexanderplatz. See picture above.

I must say that now that I have had a chance, quite by accident, to examine the Handbuch d. RZM, our state of knowledge about the cap makers on either an industrial or handicrafts basis is pretty abysmally lacking.

Keep them coming, guys. Richie, nice ones. I've been meaning to get a Soviet cap.
