KM Line Officer (wearing the Eastern Peoples medal):
“Show me the regulation, and I’ll show you the exception.”
This Officer had (as we say in the States) game:
“Show me the regulation, and I’ll show you the exception.”
Post 44: sorry, a minor correction.
The word is Schiffchen and not Schiffen.
The word used in regulations = Feldmütze.
Thanks, Wim. It bugs me every time I read "Schiffen".
For the benefit of the non-German speakers:
Schiffchen (lit. "little ship") = sidecap
schiffen = to take a leak
Thanks HPL2008.
I did not know Schiffen did also mean "to take a leak". I simply would say "piss"!!
I think all know who this is??
I also hate it when German words are written wrongly, but we must forgive those
that do not read well. Or those that cannot read German! We must have a good heart.
At WRF it is much better as when I look at WAF, but there are no persons to correct!!
So, they stay dumb forever!
Thanks for the language lesson HPL and Wim, I didn't mean to "schiffen" anyone off ...
