Your turn to do a book stoney..................
HI All, What do you guys think of this one? is it real? lol just kidding and want to share with you my first imperial cap from the collection of the nicest forum member I have met so far, Mr. Tony Vickers, yes this is the same cap from page 14 of his new book which everyone should run out and buy this minute!!! His kindness and generosity far exceeds my own, if the forum handed out awards for going above and beyond the call of duty it would be named after him, the Vickers award lol. He could have charged me double or made a fat profit out of this sale, but he didnt. Hope you enjoy the pics and thanks again tony!!!!
Excellent cap mate. Book looks fantastic as well. Well done again Tony on your fantastic book. I need a copy.
Cheers, Pat
Great hat , good provenance!

Hey Kris,
Not seen that. Colonial cap maybe.....they are rare and pricey. Any pics of the inside ?
The chinstrap looks good and it has the grey peak making it post 1915 manufacture if real.
any more info ?
cheers
Tony
Hey Tony,
price is 2500 euro, it is part of a German coloniale periode museum that seems to be selling out!
Info is on the classifieds of the pickelhaube forum.

Cheers kris.
I was right about pricey !

I realize this is a soft headgear forum, but this is interesting for the fact that it demonstrates the use of an Ersatz lining on a pre-war Pickelhaube--Depaheg was most likely the maker of the liner:
