Here's a curious cap. It's being sold as an original WWI cap but due to it being marked Kostumfabrik Julius Stepanek, Chemnitz, it's pretty obvious it's a costume hat but from what period? 1930's? it certainly has age.

Looks ok on the outside from the pics but the sweatband looks weird to me. Been replaced or put on badly maybe ?
The stamps are perplexing. Not sure what to make of them but at that price not worth the risk imo.
