A form III Gau level political leader's cap. This cap has been updated by the addition of the oakleaf wreath to conform with the 1939 4th pattern political leader uniform. Original orders allowed a period of 18 months to change the 1936 uniform to the 1939 pattern. In the case of this cap, a new cap with burgandy piping would have been bought. However either to military induction or war shortages, this order was widely ignored.

A form III visor cap for a Parteigericht. The 4th pattern uniform of 1939 abolished the dark blue piping and requiring the wear of the piping reflecting the level the court official served at. Once again, this hat exhibits that the regulations were not always followed.

An example of a form IV Kreisleitung official visor cap with white piping, which replaced black. The form of this hat is closer to that of a form III as it lacks the high peak and saddle shape one expects to find in a form IV hat. This cap is also private purchase

The form IV visor cap of Gaubereichsleiter Adolf Kunstmann pf Cologne. The cap bears the rare hand embroidered oak leaf wreath. The private purchase cap was brought back after the war by a U S Army veteran who also brought back two of Kunstmann's tunics with Gold Party Badges attached.

A Gauleitung level form IV visor cap manufactured from a course wool and darker in color. The color suggests this hat was made for wear with the rare dark brown Einsatzunddienst uniform

An unissued form IV cap for Ordensburg. This is an unissued cap still retaining a paper RZM label and the original paper packing in the interior.
The majority of these found on the market are in similar condition. They were taken from the stores of the school, Vogelsong, when it was taken over as a headquarters for the U S Army.

Two similar Lagermutze belonging to Ortsgruppen Political Leaders. The caps are identical except for the badging on the front. The first cap came from the collection of the late Ed Stadnicki. It bears the enameled political cocarde. The second cap is identical but bears a gold political button. I obtained the second cap from a good friend less than a week after I obtained the first cap. What is amazing is their RZ tags. Ed's old hat was made by Hersteller 3 and bore RZM tag #026176. Cap #2 was also made by Hersteller 3 and bore RZM tag #026172. These caps were made on the same day by the same manufacturer! I have yet to discover an explanation for this variation in front badges.

A rare bergmutze that was part of a complete uniform grouping of tunic, breeches, mantel and cap that belonged to Hardi Walletzkowski, a former SA member from Berlin who was posted to the Reichslager Fur Beamte(Reichslevel Traning Facility for Political Leaders)located at Bad Tolz.

An unissued schiffen worn by an Ordensburg Junker. This cap came from Vogelsong and has a properety stamp inside.
