    firstly I would like to say hello all forum members!
    Secondly, please forgive me, if my first question is trivial or inadequate to this forum.

    Is it possible that senior WH NCO wore Schirmmitze, which by regulations had to be worn only to the duty uniform, also during the war in field?

    Yes, the schirmutze was often worn in the field by senior NCO's.
