    Looks good a nice wartime one

    The cap lacks the brown band, which is positioned upon the lower front,
    and between the black piped flaps. Upon this the insignia should be positioned!

    Page 301 from volume 5 from the Reichsarbeitsdienst-chapter:

    RAD "Robin Hood" Cap

    Upon the sweatband for the shown cap from post 1 one can see 139. This
    means the cap is from January 1939. So not yet a wartime cap.

    Thanks Wim i have your Headwear books vol 1-5 very informative they are...And thank you for your prompt response..a hat in such fine condition yet missing a piece like that is a shame
