I have this "Ski" cap in the mail. What precisely does the insignia with the sword means?

I have looked at all my references for SA and drawn a blank....sorry.

Could it be a Frei Korps emblem or old unit badge maybe if the owner was a WW1 vet ? Clutching at straws now...sorry
