The stamp is from a theater company in the Moravian capital of Brno, or for those of you like German: Bruenn.

Moravia is in the Czech Republic. Of course, for those of you in geography, Pommern is on the Baltic and not adjacent to the Czech Republic, but maybe there was socialist brotherly aid with costume props in the Warsaw Pact. I would expect an SA cap from Bruenn to be from a Sudeten German SA unit. But maybe that is in error. Someone can help me with the SA units raised in these annexed territories.

Happy head wear and even happier Moravian and Pommeranian geography.

I concur FB's opinion on this piece. It seems as though the trinkets of the Reich were scattered across numerous Eastern European theatrical and movie companies by their former Soviet masters. A nice original piece.

If you have seen evidence of this dispersion, then I am alright with the Bruenn stamp.

The black uniform in the Heydrich display in Praha from the Czech army museum is actually from Halle an der Salle in Sachsen-Anhalt, which surely was not in Bohemia as near as I can tell.

The black over coat in the Zeughaus in Berlin is from a Sudeten unit....so go figure.

These things are not where they should have been if one assumes that the theater just got the cothing supplies of old units.

When I lived in Bonn. the theater in Bad Godesberg had a lot of material from general officer veterans who lived there, though their time in the Wehrmacht was in other garrisons. This theater had a sale of costumes in the fall of 1974 that would make your eyes explode today, that much I can tell you.
