    I'd like to know about glass heads as well for a decent price.
    They are the best way to display these hats. No worries about contamination or damage to the hat and they look awesome in these Ikea glass cabinets.

    My glass heads came from the local $2 shop -seriously! that's one avenue to take a look at

    You can pick up glass heads in the U.K. for as little as £11.97 but the shippings a crippler at around £12 on top!

    I believe I posted this in another thread like this recently.. while not a perfect solution, a decent one I came up with is too get some blank fitted baseball caps (I use black but anything will do really) and put your cap on top of the other cap. It keeps the visor of the antique cap off the ground and is pretty inconspicuous.

    You'd be best getting in size 7 1/4 or a little bigger. Most caps should fit securely on top.

    One method that I've used in the past is to cut a AFL (Australian Rules Football) football two thirds up, you could do something similar with a soccer ball or rugby
