I am having fun! I just learned how to upload pics on this forum, something I have avoided learning forever.
There was no need for the hesitation, because once I read the tutorials, it was all there. I'm posting 4 at once, amazing to me!!
Here are some caps, I unboxed today, I've had them in my workshop, my only quiet place in the world, even though it has noisy equipment. I 've kept them in an old footlocker.
It's probably not the best showing of them, but my main purpose was to learn how to start a thread and try out my new pic posting power.
A major hat tip to the how to section of this forum, thanks all!
Very nice grouping! I don't even own one M43 and you have 9! I think the max you're permitted to own by law is 8 so you should quickly ship one to me before the authorities find out!
I jest...If this is what you have as far as M43's, I'm looking forward to seeing photos of the rest of your collection!!
You're in good hunting grounds up there in Pennsylvania.
There are many small auctions that happen during the weekdays, geared to the farmer. I've seen many nice things at estate sales and even livestock auctions where people set up outside selling whatever.
I used to have a lot of fun with that.
Thank you for the kind words regarding the caps. I'll need your address, in order to be in compliance with the law, thanks for the tip.
I must agree with you that PA is a nice area for militaria collectors. I've lucked out on more than one occasion, unfortunately not with any German cloth headgear!
I have however come across some very nice examples, but price or my wife held me back...
I just need to luck out with one of those things that are holding me back..Hmmm, what to do with my wife?
