SS Feldmutze

This SS sidecap came my way a little earlier and after having a look at it and not wanting to believe or trust my own instincts I turned to one of the Forums respected moderators knowing he is an expert in this area and I asked him for his thoughts on the cap. Luckily for me he liked it a lot and reassured me it is 100% original..... I asked twice as I wanted to be sure.
Anyway, its now safe in its new home, I hope you all like it as much as I do.

I also agree, the shape/cut and material is similar to known authentic examples. The insignia are nicely aged and appear organic to the piece. Well done, a nice piece of history that shows it's age.
