SS Tropenhelm??

The same dealer, of the hj knifes i have posted earlier also has this one.
Its has a skull on the front, however i have never seen of these, probably was put there to raise the price? However the helmet it self looks original.

Looks like a stripped Luftwaffe helmet probably rebadged with a Heer eagle and the tri colour looks to have been replaced, IMO Never seen one with a skull on the front and though not official it might well have happened. You would need to see good pics of the skull from all angles and also of the pins inside the dome and how they sit.

Otherwise a good original tropenhelm, probably Luftwaffe originally but possibly KM, whilst HEER and SS seem unlikely, IMO.
