    The key is to add value with knowledge that departs from the normal collector nonsense, much of it focused on incidental features of an item which actually have nothing to do with its possible historical importance.

    and Mr. Notton's piece is also named, which makes it more intriguing, since this aspect offers a whole other line of inquiry.

    The fact that a Saxon cap maker supplied a soldier with an extra cap in a Saxon garrison is interesting, as well.

    I had not known that Fa Dittmann was in the Alberstadt, but it makes perfect sense.

    Anyone who has visited the remarkable Bw museum there, or been to the Officers' School of the army knows this interesting area.
