    Dear Associates,

Does this name ring a bell - as far as Third Reich era hat-makers are concerned?

It seems that this maker made caps for the new Soviet masters following the end of the war as "reparation".

Just another intriguing thing for me...

F-B, unfortunately I do not have mine anymore.
Richie, I have checked all my data bases, and cannot find a Mayer in Berlin that existed during the TR. Always possible he cropped up in the aftermath of WW2.

Thanks for checking. It is greatly appreciated. The postwar option is of course entirely possible.

I have a small collection of Lubstein caps.

Thank you. The point is warranted here that this regalia and its true story goes beyond May, 1945.
