Does this name ring a bell - as far as Third Reich era hat-makers are concerned?

It seems that this maker made caps for the new Soviet masters following the end of the war as "reparation".

Just another intriguing thing for me...

F-B, unfortunately I do not have mine anymore.
Richie, I have checked all my data bases, and cannot find a Mayer in Berlin that existed during the TR. Always possible he cropped up in the aftermath of WW2.
