My greatest fear is that one day I will die and my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them

Just a guess , but could it be Imperial with the eagle and wreath added ?
Someone said it had something to do with "Russian Liberation".
Imperial is a possibility but the cap style looks TR to me.
But I have no idea TBH

It's the salt and pepper material that seems strange , does the oak leaves look like they have always been there ?
Could be a fire hat or the likes , where is Stonemint when you need him .
the material was the first item that caught my eye. Also the mismatched wreath and eagle. One looks early tombak and the other zinc. Also the felt band looks added.
don't know if it is junk or real, but if fake, I would like to know what it is trying to be.
Hopefully Stonemint or someone will be along.

Max Lindner was a TR Effekten distributor, but I cannot identify the hat--I defer to Wim (if he doesn't know, nobody does!)

The material almost looks like black Denim.....very odd. Whatever it is, I actually Like it, though! Very well made.

Hi
Definitely not an Imperial cap as it has a celluloid. My guess, as I don't know for sure, is that it is a civil hat, maybe early 1930's with wreath and bird added post war for effect............
cheers

Thanks Tony and William for the feedback.
Part of me thinks it might be period as it is a real cap, but the wreath and eagle just don't seem to go with the cap.
If you guys and Stonemint are stumped..then my experience is worthless...lol
