    Question Visors

    Hello, the rookie again.
Some new caps, as I mentioned before I have no, or limeted knowledge, so could someone please help me to identify these two visors, if its a fake, what are they pretented to be.
If they are fakes, feal free to use them as alarming samples, in the thread about false/fakes.
    Realy appreciate your opinions.

Sadly no need for correction Kris.

    These are all bad.

Hi Gustav, the caps are both fakes. The black one is pretending to be an Allgemeine SS Officers cap. This has been made as a fake. The other is a fake Heer (Army) Officers cap. Made from a post war West German cap which has been fitted with fake wartime insignia.

    Cheers, Ade.

As a contrast, and these images populate this site in their number, so do not be shy about looking.

Authentic black SS officer caps are rare and expensive.

The Alkero cap is either police or BGS of a now distant era.

@Adrian: The first one is not made as a fake. It started life as a russian navy visor cap - black with TWO white pipings. If it had been made as a fake, why wouldn't the constructor make THREE pipings?!?

I stand corrected Modern post war stuff is not my thing. Thanks. But it sure makes an ugly fake.

    Cheers, Ade.

Let me take this opportunity to thank Adrian Stevenson for running a fine website and wish him a happy new year, and may all the fakes decrease in number in the year 2010.
May providence bring us more authentic regalia and reasonable discussions of same.
I also promise to share what I learn with Uniformenmarkt, too.
