I have a habit of buying things simply to learn characteristics of a maker, and this was one of them. C. Louis Weber was one of those rare combination tailoring houses/muetzenfabrik. Their hats are very nicely made, but it is rare to find WH examples--they made primarily civil visors.
This one is a late-war example, but still a rock-solid piece. Note the rope-thick chincords, the later quality wool body, and the woven band:
