Hello again. I just purchased this German wool hat. I can't find another one like it online and the buttons are strange as well. Can anyone help me identify it and tell me if it is pre or post 1945? It does have some stamps on the inside. It's in great shape. I just have no idea what it is! Thank you!

Thanks for the info everyone. Makes sense I couldn't find one when I was searching for German wool items since it's Swedish! Does it appear to be WW2 era or after? Thanks!

Three crowns on the buttons always makes it a swedish bit of kit ! Probably post war but hard to say.

We used the tunics for German re-enactment in the 1980's. Totally wrong but what did we know then ? Trouble with this internet thing is that everbody knows everything now.
