I'm actually shocked it hadn't been posted until now.
I, like stonemint, have a thing for the white ones, and this one is surely special and worthy of ones grail.
All I can say is one never knows what could happen so never say never. In due time, it is quite possible many of us could obtain our holy grail item.
Well for me its one of two: A PzGrn Crusher is really the ultimate Holy Grail for my collection as its the only style of PzGrn cap that I am missing from my collection. I missed the one that Weitz posted about 6 moths ago... crappy things like that happen when your sleeping whilde deployed. So hopefully someday I will be able to add that one to round out the collection.
The other Holy Grail would be a Pz Crusher cap, a silk top like ErichK's would just be frosting on the cupcake for a Pz crusher. Just takes time, patients and money. Matt
Well my Holy grail continues to change, for a long time it was a Grey piped Propaganda crusher which I was fortunate enough to acquire recently from a forum friend. So now I have a Propaganda NCO, Officer and Officer crusher. The Propaganda Kompanies are a bit mysterious in regard to their uniforms and the scope of their duties. Some KB were from PK's as well as some of the national Socialist training NCO and Officer's attached to various units. But what else were they involved in? i have several hundred reference books, memoirs, autobiographies and unit histories,etc. and as I read them I learn a bit more about them.
I have 3 different Pz crushers if you're so inclined; Silk top crusher, Wm Welhausen crusher, Paul Kaps crusher. Works of art, each of them.
Erich, your silk top Pz cap is a nice thing. Let me know if you get tired of any of your old style field caps.
I still have yet to see a Police General's visor in the flesh that was not a high-end fake.
So in that sense, one would be a grail, but a Police Genl white-top would by "holy":
“Show me the regulation, and I’ll show you the exception.”
This one would keep me happy for a while...

For me it would probably be a Pzgr crusher like afrikasandman, although a Panzer crusher would be a close second. Or maybe a White KM leutnants hat. Heck, I'd be pretty happy with just a regular old infantry cap, I'm not too picky!
