When I feel a bit down..

When I feel a bit down..I inherited a 1964 3.8 S in 1988 actually, which did not turn out at all well. It was a wonderful car, but it was not durable like a Mercedes. I sold it for very little actually to the then husband of the woman who later wrecked my 240 D. That is what happens when you get drawn into someone's messy divorce, in fact. All in all, a bad experience.
The red leather, though, in Ben's Jag is very nice. Mine had grey leather, but it had not aged well. The car drove very well, but I always was petrified that it would crap out after ten minutes on the road.
The Horch at Pebble Beach is not unlike that favored by Goering. A trip to today's Saxony takes one to the land of August Horch, in fact. My first car was an Audi, actually.
I have wasted a lot of money on cars, you know.
Thanks, Ben, for the nice image.

The scenes of the car collection in Santa Barbara remind me of the lost world in California, not at all compensated for with the Facebook and Google extravaganza in the slightest.

The image above is the tour guide in the Horch museum in Zwickau. The latter locale is in the news in a bad way at the moment.

Just finished watching another episode of the chasing classic cars program. It does make me chuckle that all the auctioneers are Brits. Does the accent impress Americans into spending a little bit more!?

What a life though, buying and selling classic cars in the Californian sun, where do I sign up?

Life in the California sun appears differently in California, itself, and at close range versus the appearance of same through the looking glass in Blighty.

I agree Patrick. Nothing like an XKE !

But I have to admit, when it comes to music, there is nothing like
the music of PAT METHENY - I've been a faithful listener
    since the early 1980's.........!
