The first Heer officer visor cap I ever bought. I was still virtually a kid and to me it was WOW! An eReL! And look at that shape! It has the guy's name tag still in it! I wish I still got that thrilled over a purchase. The cap has a significant amount of moth feasting to the cap band. They like that nice soft material. I looked past that because back then I wasn't as picky on condition. Affordability was key and I wanted to make my first officer visor cap purchase. I still dig it after all these years.

    Hi Todd,

Well said. I still have my first uniform; of my entire collection it’s still my favorite!

    Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Brian! Among the "gotta be mint crowd" that visor might feel a little self-conscious due to the significant moth damage to the cap band. However, otherwise it is a really neat cap and it still has a special place in my collection.

The other officer Arty visor is also named and I have the box it was shipped to him in as well as a pair of his shoulder boards that were thrown in the box with the cap after the war. Unfortunately a search at NARA did not turn up his file. Funny though, I did find him on a genealogy website, so I confirmed his existence, LOL.
