    Default 88mm Tiger Round Display

Hi folks- Here is a recent piece I just finished to display an 88mm (yes 8,8 cm really) Panzergranate 39 Armor Piercing round. This was used in the flak 88 but also the main AP round fired from the Tiger 1.

On the front I have overlaid the Tiger tanks aiming reticule over an image of a Sherman tank to show what the gunner would see lining up a shot.

It's a wasted trip baby. Nobody said nothing about locking horns with no Tigers.

I would like it a ton more if it was weathered, this just looks to new to me imo. Don't really like it. I respect the craftmanship though!

I understand. These aren't meant to be historical recreations for re-enactment purposes. Obviously no one would store a single round in a fancy case like this. It's also made of hard maple and CNC carved. It's really made to showcase a treasure as opposed to being historically accurate.
