Indeed, I keep trying to narrow my collecting field, but often end up buying items outside it, Oh Well!
    Regards,

    Jerry

Its always a good day when you add leather to your collection...
A5 flight pants are in great shape only a few scratches and all zippers work! (Aero Leather too!)
Now just need a jacket, boots and gloves...

Also I finally found some suspenders for my a11 pants... they are early 50s, but the only real difference is that they use black leather, slightly darker green, and are not AAF stamped.

These are not 100% aaf but they are relevant to the subject.

I finally hit some pay dirt on info of my great grandpa, today I visited with my great aunt and got some pictures although I finally got things moving there is still a massive amount of confusion. In the pictures I blew one up and it has a ninth air core patch (postwar), which could have been his unit in WWII or 8th as my grandpa told me. Here are some of him (Frank John Gluth) and if you look you will see the jacket I have in my collection!
*Unfortunately all pictures are postwar between 1950-59

Recognition of the Ribbon bars would help too.

The picture with his service bars signifies 7 re-enlistments and 2 years overseas by 1952, he served 9 more years after that...
