Hi Ben. Not sure of one of the medals in the group, third from last.
From what you've just said, sounds like he was a very
cool guy.........!

Wow, this collection amazes me. AAF is what I am wanting to collect a lot of (I was Army, but I acted as a flight medic from time to time in Iraq) so the air fascinates me. This collection is great!
Thanks Steve and Cadillac, somehow this thread disappeared on my feed
Excellent, very impressive indeed!
Best Regards,
Andy

Thanks phil, sad to say but the flight gear can get a lot more expensive than the service uniforms, and a bit harder to find.

Knowledge is power, guard it well.
My great aunt just found this, but unfortunately I have to give it to my grandfather, but it was his father so its understandable
I am just glad to find more information on him.
My Grandpa told me this is from after his retirement in 1961. It is his ID he used during Vietnam when he was stationed there as a contractor. He was a civilian mechanic on Huey's for the war!
I can not imagine how he felt about the technology change from when he started in the military in 1931
