    Reading "Vince Speranza's" book "NUTS!", I read about how he, during a lull in the Battle of Bastogne, he went looking for water for the injured soldiers.

    He didn't find any water, but found some beer in one of the smashed buildings

    He filled his helmet up with this beer and went round and gave it to the wounded. Nice chap.

    This was later thought of as a myth/legend, but after returning to Bastogne many years later, he revealed that it was HE, who actually did the deed.

    So, a Bastogne Brewery, decided to make "Airborne Beer" to commemorate the occaision. Complete with Ceramic US Helmet.
