Beginning Collection, much of it is family items
I finally got around to buying batteries for my camera so I can finally share my military collection. Most of it dates to WWI and was owned by my Great-Grandfather, whose name was Frank Gee. He was an electrician on the U.S.S. Narragansett which was a troop transport that traveled from England to the mainland. I apologize for the blurry pics, my camera isnt great. I am also in the middle of redoing my room, adding more shelves to display this stuff.
This was the name plaque for the Narragansett. My Grandma told me that when the ship hit Bembridge Ledge, he thought they were sinking so he took this off.
The pictures were of the group of sailors on the Narragansett and the shovel was owned by my Grandpa on the other side of the family, but he bought it as surplus. It has a 1945 cover but a later model shovel with the pickaxe attached

Photograph book filled with 300+ WWI photos of my Frank Gee and his friends.
These were his electrical log books. All of them are written in, but they aren't personal. There is also a pay receipt and another general piece of paper.
War Ration books of my Grandma, Great Grandma and Great Grandpa.
Picture of the Lusitania from 1907(?) It is made of metal.
This is a CBI Bullion that I bought at an estate sale. What might be the value of this and would this have been WWI or WWII?
Old military bag that I got at the same estate sale. It looks WWII but I am not sure, any help would be welcome.
WWI Flag that I bought at a local militaria dealer. What would this flag have been used for? I bought it because I was looking for something I could hang on the wall.
Thanks for looking, hope you like what I have so far!
Alec

Thanks for the kind words! I always wondered how he expected to escape carrying around a heavy plaque like that. I will update this thread when I have some more money to spend.

Hi-Based on the serial number of the bag I believe it is WWII Era-you might look on the inside for date of manufacture and Maker. Also the Flag looks to me like it is possibly a sweetheart pillow cover from WWI-very cool! Hope that helps!!

Thanks sargetom that would make sense, I appreciate the help. I picked up a couple of helmets on vacation at an antique store. I will post pics tomorrow!
