Yeah I think most troops were issued 1 decent pair & 1 pair of hi-tec mags for bumming around camp.. But I think it is up to the individual to what he wears..??....Cheers Terry.

Paul I know the old boots weren't much good..I used to wear U.S boots..I know now the new boots like Meindal & Lowe are a lot better but in my eyes still too heavy/hot..Here is a selection of desert boots..I'm on the left wearing US boots,The chap in the middle is sporting Meindals & the right hand man is wearing Hi-Tec boots..This was in 2008..Cheers Terry. Many thanks for the personal reference picture Terry, which clearly shows the clothing/equipment worn.

I have had a pair of the Lowa's since 2010 and are still going strong, equally I have a pair of Magnum's very lightweight in use, but flimsy in construction, I can see why you went with the US ones, very good quality piece of kit, thanks again

Hi Terry, yes what governments do for contracts is amazing with little regard for the troops on the ground, anyway enough of the politics, I have loads more Op Granby kit, and will post it here over time
