    I agree with some of the others here. Do not cut up an original and otherwise good tunic ... be it East German or West German or whatever. Have you tried putting a thread asking for an old, used up tunic on one of the re-enactor forums? Cheers, Torsten.

    Hello again, All!

    I spoke on the phone to the nice people at At the Front. Gina sent me a very large piece of repro wool to use. I gave a piece to one of my students, and kept a large piece for myself.

    Gina also said it may be possible to for me to obtain a left breast pocket to display my badges on.

    Hi Guys, I put my collection together like this. I figured having all of my stuff together in one display case would be easier to keep an eye on while I share it with my students. I used a scrap piece of tunic fabric from At the Front. What do you think?

    I also did this with my Soviet collection. I picked the backing out at a local fabric store. It's probably nowhere near what a real Soviet WWII vintage tunic material should look like, but at least the color is close to a picture I brought with me to the store...
