Bah, I failed on the picture post. But as you can see, I got a Belgian L.702. NVA SCHMS and a CCCP PDF-D. Also got a repro Soviet flag to use as a backdrop for my gas mask collection. One question, does the coffee can filter contain asbestos in it? And what are the wooden sticks inside the PDF-D bag?
    cheers

Its rumoured that the SCHMS filter contains asbestos, I personally don't believe this however its still expired and shouldnt be breathed through and is only really good for a display. The small pieces of wood that are in the PDF-D's bag are there for the filter to rest on, if it was right up against the fabric airflow would be restricted when the mask is in use.

    Thanks

Thanks for the reply! I also based my question on rumours. How can I date the filter for the L.702?

Oh! And the bag for the SCHMS has "H.L. sad." written inside on the flap.

Are there anymore stamps or marks on the filter? If so, can you post them here?
